Hi hunters,

After being told by some of you guys how to play online (thanks for being so helpfull), I unfortunately never flew online because no games were running when I tried it.

I am from Switzerland (GMT +1) and as I am working my time in which I can play is very limited.

Are there any European FSSDOE pilots flying online between 6:00 - 10:00 pm GMT?

Would really love to fly this sim once online.

But note that I am a rookie pilot who needs much training - I am certainly not a match for many of you at the moment (hope to change that soon...).

Wish you all many new kill markings for your planes.

Hey Wildesau

Unfortunately less and less people are flying in Europe. when it happens it s generally around 10 pm or so French/Swiss time on the UK I server ( i m French ). You can use the Icq active list by Spanky and Tailslide's site http://tailslide.firelight.dynip.co m/sdoe_servers.asp or the server list on this site to locate games that are on.
Cya in the skies...

I and maybe some of my fellow JV44 squad mates will fly again once the new planepack and de-bugged beta patch are released. Unfortunately I've been saying this since mid November.

Roger that Yardy. I've tried a couple of times over the last week but the FM's for the 190 and 109 just don't do it for me. In the 190 I seem to spend very long periods of time blacked-out...did somebody modify that aspect or am I just out of practice?

We're all out of practice I think.

I hope I fly before I get old.

War, war not jaw, jaw.

Can you retro-fit a couple of BFG's on my 190? Thanks!

I'm also surprised of the lack of european players. I hope the patch will eventually cure the most urgent bugs, DT crashing and the gunnery bug. SDOE still hasn't lost its potential in the online gaming, I still see the huge potential. Like Hedgehog, I can easily see this sim become the online sim for inter-squad engagements.

I still check the server list regularly, but haven't seen anyone there in a while... I suggest we decide on a night when everyone tries to be present at UK1. The EAF have their squad practise night (tuesday?), this has been pretty popular. But I believe they have had some problems with getting their pilots flying lately...

I hope things will get better in the near future!

Howdy
So when it comes to typing we finally get together...
Sure it would be more pleasant if we could be a little more trustful when sending or expecting a mission, sure it would be nice if we could be certain to have every well aimed shot as effective as wanted but nothing's ever perfect/ we'll have to be patient again ( I know it's soon gonna be one year we've been...).
Just hope pp5.3 will be out a day, and mainly that a patch without the debug code is made available soon ( thanks Michaël ?)
Anyway this game is still very enjoyable to fly online even though it could be better.
Wildesau and Gterl see you tomorrow and tonight if you like.
Camo I ve been thinking of that "one day a week" meeting for Europe for a while since we tend to dissolve into Ether. Any day would suit me as long as its not too late

Hi hunters,

Thanks for your feedback.

Gterl, thanks for the invitation - 14.01.2000 20:00 Zurich time is OK for me.

Cannot wait to fly the game online.

But just be warned - I am really a rookie pilot...had to lear that on Janes Combat Net when flying WWII Fighters (together with FSSDOE my two favorite WWII flight sims).

If you still are ready to shot down me, would be great. A little bit of target shooting is always a good training.

Luny, would like to see you also - the more peopole the more fun...

One more question - I installed now Plane Pack 5.2, Patch 1.5 and afterwards Beta 1.5.1b4. Is there something I need to have in addition - or perhaps something I need to deinstall? I heard that one of these Beta versions is making some problems.

Again, thanks for your help.

"See" you tomorrow hunters.

I'll be up for some European Online action when I get my Home PC up and running with a connection. However that wont be for at least a month when I get my home base set up in London. My life seems to be split over a number of town and cities at the moment.

I'll just have to be content with keeping up with the action from my PC at work.

Hi guys, I have some stuff to do during the evening, but I'll try to drop in at UK1 around 20CET. Hope to see you all then!!

I think EAF has the most SDOE players in one squad, so crashing in to their weekly SDOE squad night would be the best idea, imho.

This way we would get the most european SDOE players into one place at one time. I'm not 100% EAF plays SDOE on tuesdays, but I think so. Any EAF member here who knows better?

hey nice to see all these replies !!!
It will be a nice evening today I think.

just one thing, before we start:
to the mate who's gona start as 'host'->
please use the planepack5.2 (should be
standart, should'nt it??) !!!

since I've definitely not the best pc (ohh
please don't let me tell you the details!),
it would be nice to see someone else with a big/fast-one as the 'host', otherwise there would not be that much fun around . . . I think.

so, anyone interested???

First of all it's nice to see so many reactions on this topic =)

Most of us in the EAF fly only EAW at this moment. the only EAF members that fly FS are the 329th Squadron (Only Squad that flies FS) and a few Dutchies from the 322nd Squadron are still flying FS.

I will try to get as much pilots from the 329th and 322nd at the UK1 server at 20:00 hours.

Would all those who haven't already listed themselves on the european roster of the BCATP please email me? I'll send you the short info form and you can be listed in no time. If you want to refer to the roster to find other pilots, go to http://members.xoom.com/fs_catp/ click barracks, then European Roster.

It's what I'm here for....

Nice to see some other Swiss guys here (hoi zäme).

It seems my system is up and ready again (had bad bad problems with my graphic card/scsi host adapter). But as said, looks better now.

C-ya soon in the "virtual" air!
