Spyder, what's changed with this version?

G-man

Ooops! Disregards Spyder; I just saw your earlier message which lists the changes to Chameleon. Sounds great. I love this utility.

Here's a breakdown for the newbies that may have missed it:

SDOE Chameleon allows you to change plane skins on the fly to suit the theatre you are to engage in. You simply switch to the desktop and click a theatre to have all your favourite skins copied over to your aircraft\textures folders.
All it takes is for you to place your skins (tifs) into any or all theatres.
You have 8 theatres to choose from. That means 8 skins for each plane type so you will have loads of variety.
The new chameleon 2000 adds drag and drop funtionality to the process making it even easier to add skins than before. You open a zipped file or windows explorer and drag the tif file directly over the files list on chameleon to have it copied to the theatre you specify.
Aside from the drag and drop addition, it just includes a few graphics/layout changes and the way chameleon now stores the theatres.
Previous users of chameleon only need to 'move' their existing theatres into the new 'Theatre' folder if they don't want to add the files all over again. It makes the FS directory a lot neater.

It's online now, I just checked.

Have fun

Has anyone put together a collection of skins for each theatre? Something I can download to get started with Chameleon instead of finding all the skins individually?

Zoy, please email me the sets when you're finished with them. I'll put them up in the paintshop at the BCATP.

Thanks,

Werner
