Spanky the Mad Dog Pilot	posted 01-01- 10:33 PM Spanky here... Yeah you should be able to do that. Hooking up your monitor will be a bit wierd. It may take some experimenting but it should work without hurting anything. Wait for some more opinions first. You will have to switch what the monitor is hooked to, Back and forth. IF you havn't bought the voodoo why don't you just get a second hand or cheap voodoo 2 12 meg? IP: Logged

So that, presumably, is how the system would know which card's drivers to default to? I haven't seen any Voodoo 2 cards around for ages but a V3 isn't very expensive these days. As you suggest, I'll wait for some more advice before I do it...I don't want to blow my system! IP: Logged
Jetlag Pilot	posted 01-02- 01:23 PM I think Spanky's idea using a Voodoo II is a good one and cheaper in the long run. You wouldn't need to swap the monitor over with that either. JV44Siggi Pilot	posted 01-02- 02:19 PM I think the Voodoo3-2000 is faster than two V2's in SLI mode. I used to have that rig, but I gave the two cards away. Also I think one would have to swap the monitor's connection regardless. I did have an AGP V3, but I blew it up with a bit of clumsiness just before Xmas. I guess I'll pop down to the EB tomorrow...if it doesn't work I can take it back. Cheers Jet. IP: Logged

And i don't think a voodooo 3 is faster then 2 voodoo 2s that was one of the complaints when the 3 came out. everyone with 2 2's was wondering why they should buy a 3 if its not any faster. It would be nice if you could find a monitor switch they should have them somewhere like if you had 2 computers and only 1 monitor IP: Logged
