Hi,
I recently re-installed FS and thought it would be a good time to try out the latest plane pack. I've noticed that some of the planes show strange behavior. Specifically, the Bf109 is prone to do donuts on the ground. If I get it turning in one direction, it keeps turning and is impossible to straighten out, even with full opposite rudder. I have the steering coupled to the rudder. The other planes don't have this behavior. Also, the Go229 (which looks awesome) has some very odd handling. The only way I can keep it level is to pull the joystick to the lower left corner and give it full left rudder. Any attempts at manuevering cause it to flip and dive. I would think my joystick was miscalibrated (MS sidewinder FF), but all other planes fly like a dream. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd love to be able to fly the Horton.
Thanks,
Lothar

Lothar,

OPPs is currently working on PP5.3 which will see substantial improvement in the FM of all the original planes. Search around the forum for Planepack 5.3 and it will give you a good idea of what is coming.

Spanky here...

Hi man about the ground handling, i find some of the planes a dog too. One tip is i find if the rudder isn't being effective you have to blip the throttle. sometimes that gets it going in the dir you would like.

ya got to be carefull with it though
