This amuses me guys:
When I bought Combat Flight Simulator, I played it all day long. After a while, I got extremely tired of it, even though I've downloaded 70 extra planes and 20 campaigns.
I bought SDOE a loooong time ago, and I'm NEVER EVER getting tired of it. I love to fly around, watch the beautiful terrain and the gorgeous planes. SDOE RULES!!!!!!

Very good point, semmern!! I've gone through the very same thing...I still fly EAW....hehehe....once every couple of months just for the large air battles...but I actually have 3 new games ( that I have anxiously awaited ) still in boxes!

I think it's the total experience of SDOE...with the community itself being the topping. It's like a very close family with members that keep coming up with something new and exciting on a regular basis...good sim, great people, fantastic total experience.

What kinda games do you have waiting in their boxes? A beta of B-17 II?
I'm really looking forward to the release of '17 here in Norway. It sure looks great!!!!

I think SDOE has been slaughtered by the critics. At dogfighter.com and gamespot it only got 5.5/10!!!!! That is WAY too low.
Such a good sim deserves better, at least 8/10! The main thing people don't like is the lack of campaign and poorer than promised FM's. Who cares about that with PlanePack and all that around, not to mention the wonderful graphics.
I'm trying to advertise for SDOE in the PC magazines here in Norway and in some of the computer stores to raise some interest.

Man, when you Norwegians embrace something, you don't just take it to dinner, do you?

Good to have you aboard. The main problem with those dang web places is that they won't come back and review what the game is NOW.

It's really hard to go back on something you've said if you're a reviewer/reporter, especially if you've raked it over the coals. I inquired of a couple pages if they planned to go back and look at the game again, and they basically said no, we reported that people were doing stuff to it, and that's all we have to say about that.

But that's their loss. If they want to overlook an incredible revolution in how PC games can be handled and enjoyed by the folks who play them, so be it.

I'm just glad the medical community didn't adopt that stance when vaccines were discovered.
