hippie, i think it was canceled. Kopper sent many emails to them with no reply. and it should have been in beta months ago.

so that seems like the best guess.

and another thing. I've fixed up your F4U some. I'm not going to release it but to a few people that want it. people that have gotten it from your site but can't make it work. i'm going to give them my copy that works( and has the elevators moving the right way.)

if thats ok with you.

Razer,

Why aren't you going to release the F4U publicly?

Anyone is free to do what they like with the F4U. I won't get any chance to do any serious OpenPlane work again till March 2000.

Mposis, what help do you need with extractor/builder?
Is that old stuff still required?
I guess there are still a few things that
are easier to do with a text editor
rather than a GUI.

By the way Hippie,

Builder and Extractor are still the #1 used tool - there are still many things that can only be done with the asc files and the LOD files.

For instance I used it last night to copy all of the relavant SE5a LODS to the SE5aDmg model (the models that are shown when parts are damaged) - more or less I just used the html file to find what LOD to copy and past into the SE5aDmg.sm - then I also opened each LOD file to change the texture ID's - I actualy used global search and replace in Homesite

So... builder/extractor is still the core tool for OPS heheh - maybe soon we won't need it anymore - but I think there will always be a need to see/edit the whole asc file - plus it makes fun reading

Hippie,

Thanks. Bryan helped me out because I didn't know your email address.

I can't make anything for SDOE without your software.
