Well it's a day for questions so here goes. Is it possible to turn down the volume of the external sounds i.e. other aircraft, flak etc. I find it difficult to believe that I would hear another aircraft flying a mile away above the sound of a 1500hp engine sitting three feet in front of my face.

MH is there a secret ini command pls?

In the sound.ppf an example:
sndFlak1 ( parmFilename "Flak01" parmdb 120 parmPriority 100 parmDontDieWithObject )

I think the parmdb is the sound level.
I edit the sound wav's with goldwave and decrease/increase the sounds instead.

All the INI setting are documented on the tech page of this site.

Unfortunately we don't differentiate between being inside or outside the vehicles and thus all the sound volumes are computed based purely on volume at the source, scaled by the distance (that's the simplified description).
