Wasn't someone working on a P-39?If so, i may have something for you. I was going to do it, but never got around to it. I do have the vertical and Horizonal stabes finished if you want them. Razer IP: Logged |

I'm trying here, I'm trying! Razer, I've made front fuseelage, tail and vertical stab but go right ahead and send it to me if you wish! I've been muddling with Ac3d but I'm still learning. Seems to me that as of now, the models will have a way too high poly count to run smoothly, so there's a great deal of optimizing to be done. I can't say that it will be presentable anytime before february next millenium due to real life workloads. Thanks!IP: Logged |

Ok Kraft, I'll post a link to the ac. file tonight and let you get them. the tail is already in pieces. It just needs to be moved in to files by its self. (i mean the rudders and stuff are not attached. i presonally think that the tails i made are 100 % perfect. and thats a lot since i haven't done 3D modeling for very long. look for the file tonight. ------------------ ======================= Tony "Razer" Martin http://www.fshangar.com

Here you go http://www.fshangar.com/projects/tail.ac it's in AC3D format so you shouldn't have any problems.. Razer

Shouldnt the tail assy. be thicker than one pixel? Also, to use this I'd have to piece them up and make a lod for each of the stabs, rudders and elevators, right? Also, I'm working to true scale. What scale ia your tail? I'm almost starting to begin to grasp the tip of the iceberg that is OpenPlane. Thanks for the help![This message has been edited by Kraftwerk (edited 12-09-1999).] IP: Logged |

Making the vert and horiz stabs one "pixel" has been the standard way of doing it for every plane - it does it's job very well and saves polys IP: Logged |

Well i was using Razor747's mustang-biplane for the base, since it already have tri-gear. the tails on the P51 are a single -double sided polygon. so thats why i made them that way. it's a good idea to use this for horizonal stabes. but you can also use it for vertical stabes too. Razer
