I bought this sim for the bombers, the B-17 actually, and never in my wildest dreams (yes I have had some wild ones) did I think I would fly and like a WWI plane again.

Most of us have flown Red Barron, I flew it to death and back and put it away. Well I have flown a WWI plane again and right here in good old SDOE.

Last night I flew a mission with SV and friends that included his great SE5a. There were four of them and we twisted and waltzed around untill we all got killed or just ran aground. I was stunned, the planes flew great, they flew like you would expect a WWI plane to fly. They looked great too, lots of detail, wood grain, fabric, and more.

Red Barron was good but the SE5a's FM and detail, plus the great SDOE look gave me a much more realistic and enjoyable time than Red Barron ever did. This will be fantastic, more detail, much more, and a far better FM will let us finally fly WWI like it was supposed to be flown.

A new world awaits us full of colorful bi and tri wing planes and trenches and old clanking tanks and who knows what.

I'm ready.

Here is your WWI planes:

Yup ...

I personally think the potential of OpenPlane and FS is yet to be explored ... There is a l-o-n-g future ahead of FS in one form or another

LOL! ... I've got this ME-262 -to- F-86 conversion like "half-way-done" ...

... Would anyone be interested in a Korea ara jet?

I'd love to see someone handle Vietnam era planes.... The Crusader and the Phantom, in particular, are interesting to me.

I've been flying the fokker and se5a the last two nights with SV and I can't tell you how much fun it is!I too flew the crap out of the baron and anticipated rbII only to be sorely disappointed by it.Thanks to openplane and some dedicated people,FS:WWI (?)looks and flies 1000 times better than rbII ever dreamed of!
I recommend anyone interested in WWI aviation d-load the latest se5a and give it a test, you'll not be sorry!

Oh yeah i want a f86 and mig 15
there is another plane that can be built off the mig 15 since the 15 was really mostly a clone of a german design

While we're on the topic of Korea and 'Nam era planes(sort of), how about an A-1 Skyraider? And maybe some napalm and 19 tube rocket pods to go with her? I've always wanted to see her in a sim(Fighter's Anthology doesn't count-it's not a sim). If anyone's interested here's a link:
www.skyraider.org

All right, I'll shut up now.

See ya'
