Topic: Stirling for the Base Pack checks

Hi guys, it seems the Stirling may be ready in the near future, and as such The Crew would like to add it to the Base Pack filling the 1 vacant slot for a second Strategic Bomber for GB, as such there are a couple of checks/changes that may need to be made, so now it the best time to outline what they are (nothing hard)ObExlodes - unless a catastrophic explosion is called for, then the obExplodes value should not exceed a value of obExplodes 0.00001 30 (where 30 can be any size as this is only the visible explosion) A catastrophic explosion needs only be given a value of around 1 since the Patch fixed the explosion strengths. Textures - Where possible the plane should use it's own textures, or those of the original stock aircraft, best would be for all textures to be in it's own texture folder, these are easy to change and only require looking through OPS for the textures, moving them from other locations into the Stirilings texture folder and then changing the texture ref in OPS to reflect this change. Is it wise to include a new plane in the base packs? One that hasn't been thoroughly tested by the community? I thought the base paks were like planepaks...no betas, but a more limited selection. Just asking.IP: Logged |

I agree Jerry, but then the Base Pack wont be released until it's been thoroughly tested, even without the Stirling included the PP have been massively changed to meet the BP format, and as such needs full and complete testing, which will be (and currently is being) carried out, as such, including the Stirling into the pack means that it to will be thoroughly tested, so, aslong as the testing goes well, the Striling will be included in the BP If there are problems the people working on the Stirling will be told about the bugs, and then when fixed she can be retested, it should be a problem at all. Obviously if it wasn't up to BP standard then it wouldn't be included anyway, so everything should go fine IP: Logged |
