Jeeves,Love the new loadouts! A tremendous amount of work on your part which I for one greatly appreciate. I just wanted to let you know that the Startup.ppf file in your data12.par file seems to be missing the line for the dambuster bomb (see my post in Help). I had un-parred it to retrieve just the startup.ppf so I could place in in the appropriate directory myself and modify it if need be, so at first I though perhaps I deleted the line in question. However, I un-parred it again and looked at the file as is and the line is not there. I added it back myself and now things are fine. ------------------ Be seeing you, 3dp Visit RAF Harkness! Thanks Threedp...are you related to R2D2? Just kidding- I know it's you 3DP Since it worked in my game because 6.1 was already installed, I never thought about having to carry it over to the new startup.ppf....it will be fixed in the next installment, which will hopefully be part of the BP.IP: Logged |

Jeeves, FYI it appears that the startup.ppf you put into the datafile does not contain the paratrooper or paracrate .sm lines for the JU82. Neither object was visible until I put the appropriate lines into a seperate startup.ppf file like we used before your data parfile.EDIT: Nope, that's not it. Creating a new startup.ppf with just those two lines didn't do it. Had to reactivate my entire old startup.ppf file to get the paratroopers and crates to show. So now I don't know what lines are in my old file that seem to be missing from your new data file. This is the only problem I have found so far since relying totally on the data file for my startup.ppf info. Good work! [This message has been edited by Jerry+ (edited 12-17-2001).] IP: Logged |

Thanks guys...Well-- as far as I know, from now on, the loadouts will be controlled through the BP, so I hope to fix all the startup.ppf troubles and get things working OK again---maybe I should release a new startup.ppf that has everything in it? I thought for sure those lines were in mine, but I will have to check...Jerry-- not sure how you fixed it, but maybe we can get this all working again LOL I forget-- does an external startup.ppf in the Media folder override one in the par file? K....I will have to look when I get home, but I think my startup has everything-- including for planes that have yet to be released If so, I will e-mail it to those who want it....or maybe put it up somewhere-- although not at simfiles as I think there already is a startup.ppf there and I don't want to add to that confusion... ------------------ Brought to you by the campaign for a better Dauntless!
